The challenge
Previous-year questions and official answer keys for India's UPSC exams are published as scattered PDFs and scans. Turning them into a searchable, topic-wise question bank by hand is slow and error-prone.
Students also needed more than a question list: instant answers with explanations, a realistic exam mode, and a way to track weak topics over time.
What we built
AI answer-key reading
A Gemini-powered pipeline reads answer-key documents and matches each answer to the right question, so new papers can be added quickly while every answer stays checkable.
Topic-wise question bank
Questions are organised by paper, subject and topic in Neon Postgres, so students can practise up to three subjects and chosen topics at a time.
Two study modes
Practice mode checks each answer instantly with an explanation and shows how other students answered. Exam mode holds results until submission, with a timer, question palette and keyboard shortcuts.
Revision analytics
An error tracker, saved questions, retry quizzes built from mistakes, and a colour-coded performance map by topic.
Subscriptions & access
Accounts, a free trial and one-time paid plans, deployed on Vercel with serverless Postgres to keep running costs low.
The result
- A live, paid product with more than 15,000 questions across GS, CSAT, practice and book-based MCQs.
- New exam papers can be added by processing their answer keys with AI instead of keying them in by hand.
- The full stack, from AI pipeline to payments, was designed, built and is operated by LogicFinch on low-cost serverless infrastructure.
How this applies to your business
The same approach works for businesses that live in PDFs: invoices, purchase orders, forms, contracts or compliance documents. AI extracts and checks the data, a database makes it searchable, and a clean web app puts it in front of your team or customers.
